University Hardship Fund

The University provides a Hardship Fund for students experiencing difficulties. The fund is a source of means-tested and discretionary financial assistance.

It is intended to help students who have genuine and unavoidable financial difficulties to remain in Higher Education. Any help you receive from the Fund is usually non-repayable.

Students who are  eligible to apply for are:

• students with children
• mature students with existing financial commitments
• students from a low-income family
• students that have disabilities
• students who are a care leaver or from Foyers - specific grants are available
• students in their final year of study
